The Wira Bandar PC guide

Wira Bandar PC is a fork of OpenTTD: OpenTTD's code with changes, free software under the GNU GPL v2. About and credits

Wira Bandar PC is OpenTTD with a city-building and public transport game added, set in Malaysia and Singapore. This guide covers what is new. For everything that works as in OpenTTD (building railways, signals, ships, aircraft, industries), the OpenTTD wiki still applies.

A town window in Wira Bandar PC showing population, the city council, the state, homes and jobs, happiness, city services, traffic, commuters, door-to-door times, air quality and land value, with Transit, Budget and State buttons at the bottom.
A town window: the council, the state, happiness, city services, traffic, commuters, air and land value are all new. So are the Transit, Budget and State buttons.

The feature guides are grouped as in the sidebar:

  • Words in bold are exactly what the game shows: buttons, menu items, window titles and settings.
  • Keys look like Shift+Z.
  • Main toolbar buttons are named by their tooltip, the text that appears when you hold the mouse over them: for example Towns is the button whose tooltip says Open town directory or found town.
  • Settings boxes say exactly where a setting is, what its choices are and which one plays as in OpenTTD.

Wira Bandar PC’s own text, everything about its city and transit features, is in English only. In another language the rest of the game is translated as in OpenTTD, and the new windows show in English. That’s also why the main menu says the translation misses some strings.
