Compared with OpenTTD
Wira Bandar PC is a fork of OpenTTD: OpenTTD's code with changes, free software under the GNU GPL v2. About and credits
Wira Bandar PC is a fork of OpenTTD: it is OpenTTD’s code (from OpenTTD 16) with changes. Everything OpenTTD has is still there, and most of what Wira Bandar adds can be switched off.
What stays the same
Section titled “What stays the same”- The whole transport game: railways and signals, road vehicles, trams, ships, aircraft, industries, cargo distribution, timetables, orders, groups, autoreplace, finances, the scenario editor and heightmaps.
- Graphics sets, NewGRFs, AIs, game scripts and Online Content, from the same places (see Graphics, NewGRFs and AIs).
- Your OpenTTD saves: Wira Bandar PC loads them (see Saves).
- Keyboard shortcuts, the console and the settings window.
What’s different besides the features
Section titled “What’s different besides the features”- The name. The window title, the main menu and the About window say Wira Bandar PC, a fork of OpenTTD. The About window keeps OpenTTD’s credits.
- Its own folder,
Documents\Wira Bandar, with your OpenTTD settings and saves copied on the first start (see Folders and settings). - Its own saves,
.csav. OpenTTD can’t open them. - English only for the new text. The rest of the game is translated as in OpenTTD.
- Multiplayer only with the same build of Wira Bandar PC. It can’t join OpenTTD servers, and OpenTTD can’t join it.
- No OpenTTD survey. OpenTTD’s optional survey, which sends anonymous data to OpenTTD’s servers, is switched off: it is for OpenTTD’s own builds.

Changes that have no setting
Section titled “Changes that have no setting”A few changes apply in every game:
- Passenger satisfaction. Every passenger line gets a monthly satisfaction score from waiting, crowding, punctuality, fares, vehicle condition and comfort. It moves passenger ratings at the stations it serves (up to 5% better or 8% worse), towns’ happiness, and how towns rate your company. See Passenger satisfaction.
- Crowded railway platforms. Platforms hold a set number of passengers; above that, boarding is slower and ratings drop, unless the station has screen doors. See Metro and rail.
- More in the windows. Town windows, station windows and vehicle lists show the new information and buttons even when you don’t use the features.
